Customs We Love: A Nail To Celebrate 3 Weddings

Customs We Love: A Nail To Celebrate 3 Weddings

A bespoke creation for one of my oldest friends: two coffin nails, one in sterling silver and the other in gold, designed to complement the metals and engravings of the rings I crafted for their wedding last year.

True to form, my friend, never one to do things by halves, celebrated three weddings across three countries—starting in Denmark, followed by ceremonies in her and her husband’s homelands of Australia and England. To commemorate these landmark moments, I engraved each side of the nails with their wedding dates and initials. I couldn’t help but laugh with her later, joking that the many sides of these nails were the perfect canvas to capture every significant date.

The nail, a symbol of protection, connection, and commitment—an emblem of the bonds that unite people, ideas, and moments. Wishing the couple all the love and joy as they embark on this new chapter together.
