A recent project created to accompany an earlier gold bead I made for this customer, which was engraved with the numbers of her previous residences. These tiny beads were designed to sit on her favourite chain as pendant spacers.
They remind me of the candy necklaces from childhood. Instead of pastel sugary sweets, these beads are crafted in silver and imbued with sentimental words and phrases that represent places, memories and moments from her life.
Two beads were created: one engraved with "come what will", the other "venture". A simple, symbolic concept carrying memories and meaning known only to her.
